One-to-One Interviews

Pete Fleischmann - Head of Co-Production, Social Care Institute of Excellence

Pete has a breadth of personal and professional experience in how we can co-create more within the social care sector. Pete sat with me and talked me thought the essence of co-production and how it can work in theory and practice which challenges roles and responsibilities between people and services.

Since 2004, Pete has been Head of Co-production at SCIE. Pete leads the production of good practice materials about co-production and ensures that users and carers are at the heart of all SCIE’s work. Pete has experience of using mental health services. Pete has 20 years of experience of user involvement, participation and co-production. He has worked across a very wide range of care groups and settings in UK and Eastern Europe. In the past, Pete has worked for Revolving Doors Agency, Institute of Psychiatry, Crisis, Hamlet Trust, Soros Foundation, London School of Economics, Brent Community Health Council and Mental Health Media. Pete has an MA in Journalism from University of Westminster.
